John M. (Sr.) Sackin

Columbiana - John Michael Sackin Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 67, on February 11, 2026. He was born on October 2, 1958, in New Castle, PA, to the late Andy and Mary Sackin.

John dedicated 43 years to his career as an asphalt foreman for Gennaro Pavers and Marzane Materials until his retirement in 2019. While he took great pride in his work, his true vocation was his family.

John is survived by his wife and soulmate, Laura, whom he married August 8, 1986. He was the proud father of two children whom he considered his greatest blessings: John Michael Jr. (Amber) and Amber Marie. His legacy lives on through his five grandchildren-Johnny III, Carmelina, Nathan, Logan, and Hayes-who were the absolute pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind five beloved brothers and sisters.

John will always be remembered for his warmth and his habit of ensuring everyone around him knew they were loved.

In accordance with his wishes, the family will hold a private viewing.
